Packaging design for Peruvian Chocolatier, Death by Xoko.
Individual wingdings were hand placed to form the word autonomous. This creates an intricate pattern that is still extremely readable due to the simple sans-serif lettering, sharp contrast between ink colors and printing materials, and the lack of competing elements.
The design is simplistic and uses a large amount of white space to focus attention on the word autonomous. This white space is also a play on the definition of autonomous, which means to act independently or to have the freedom to do so, or to be free from outside influence. The purity of the empty canvas demonstrates the idea that the actual word is free from influences.
